Music Review Site Gimmick #1
Jan. 4th, 2007 01:55 pmSo, I've though of a gimmick that I'm pretty sure isn't currently being used by any major review site. This is my first idea (on this particular topic, not ever *grin*), so I thought I'd float it here and try to get some feedback.
My idea is (drumroll) - Album commentaries.
Basically, it'd be a review written in the following format:
Intro and opening summary/description.
Track1 - mm:ss - description
- mm:ss - description
etc
Track2 - mm:ss - and so on.
Conclusion.
So it'd be a bit like a review in real-time. I wouldn't just be going "At this point, there's some strings" or something, because that'd be unbelievably boring. It'd just be along the lines of one of my regular reviews in terms of content, but with this new structure. Then people could listen to the album while reading the review, and they'd sort of go together (hopefully) nicely.
I think it could be interesting. What do you lot reckon?
