New project

I'm thinking of starting a new journal - one to write music reviews in. I'd still add reviews to my site as well, since I love my site too much to let it die. I'd just have this extra thing as a way to hopefully get some extra exposure for my writing. I realise this would be pretty much the same as setting up an RSS feed, but I think I'd rather just have another journal. I don't even know how to do RSS anyway.

So, if I did this, I'd be doing it properly. Setting myself a schedule that I had to stick to. Reviews every Tuesday and Friday, or something like that. I've been contemplating whether it'd be better to have detailed reviews appearing less often, or brief reviews appearing more often. Or a combination. I'm undecided.

The other idea I had was to start a community with some other people, and actually start up some sort of "proper music zine via lj" thing. I think I'd want at least 4 or 5 people contributing for something like that, and have a new review every day or two. Anyone interested in being a part of that?

Of course, the big benefit of this would be that people who care about my musical opinions could friend the new journal, and then the rest of you wouldn't have to put up with me spamming your flists with "New review on my site!" posts every few weeks :P

So, anyone have any comments/advice/etc?
