Lunch break

Going home for lunch is the only good thing about this job, which is why I gave my week's notice on Friday. I'm a bit peeved at how badly AMA misrepresented themselves, making out that the job had loads of opportunity for advancement when in fact it had virtually none (and even that advancement was in a completely different direction to where I said I wanted to go).

So, as of the end of Friday, I'll be jobless. Quokka have said that I can go back if need be, but I'd really rather not. I've been applying for lots of positions over the past few weeks, so perhaps something from there will turn up. I'd really like a job in admin or projects where there's genuine potential to move up, so I'm thinking governemnt is probably the best option for me. I've applied for a tonne of government jobs, but haven't had any luck yet. To my friends who work in goverment, how did you get your foot in the door? I'm having serious difficulty...

For that matter, anyone know of any upcoming vacancies I could apply for?

Anyway, at least if nothing turns up I can go back to Quokka for a bit. Better than being broke.

Argh, stupid AMA. Stupid job searching.

Anyway, have to go back to work. Meh.
