I had a pretty great weekend.
Friday night was the UniSFA/UCC Quiz Night, and Tina and I managed to end the night with a $100 GameTraders voucher. We went to the shop on Saturday and ended up buying Guitar Hero 1 & 2, with one of the cordless guitars (good for doing air kicks and mad windmill strums in the loungeroom without dragging your PS2 across the floor). The Guitar Hero 1 game was second hand, so all up it only cost $160 (and, of course, we only paid $60 of that).
Basketball on Saturday afternoon was good. We had a solid win (I think we won by about 10-15 points, although I can't quite remember), and I scored a few nice shots. Ended with 14 pts including two 3-pointers.
Saturday night was Matt and Susie's engagement party. I had a great time, although with the food being served quite late (and me not having eaten since lunch), I managed to get pretty tipsy of only a few beers and a glass of wine. I had a bunch of great conversations and didn't get home until close to 1:30am.
On Sunday Tina and I hung out with
jubileemars at her place. We played lots of Guitar Hero (fun!) and also watched Batman and Robin for a laugh. God, that movie is just so mind-bogglingly awful. I actually really enjoyed it this time (I hadn't watched it since it was in the cinema). It's awful in a really hilarious kind of way. I think that you could have a terrific drinking game while watching that film - drink everytime George Clooney does a smug, chin-tucked-in-and-head-bobbing-left-and-right expression, drink everytime Arnie says a cold/ice/snow/freeze-related pun, etc. I reckon you'd be pretty blind by the time the credits rolled.
And that was my weekend. It was neato.
