Borat

Tina and I saw Borat last night, and I've got to say, I think that was one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. I don't think I've ever laughed out loud so many times in a movie before. I'm talking hysterical, clutching-your-stomach, almost-falling-off-your-seat style laughter, again and again and again. I encourage everyone who hasn't seen it to do so, and I think it's the sort of movie that's twice as good if you see it in the cinema. There's something awfully fun about hearing an entire cinema full of people exploding with laughter over and over again.

Concerts!

So, it looks like there's going to be some good gigs in Perth over the next 2 months. In addition to The Mountain Goats, Camera Obscura, Love is All, The Walkmen and Vashti Bunyan, who I mentioned in previous posts, there's also Amon Tobin and Laura Veirs. Veirs is playing in late January, but the Tobin gig is on Friday 14/12. He's being supported by Kid Koala (aka 1/3 of Deltron 3030). Tix are $30. Anyone want to go?
