I didn't get the job I was applying for. I came second. I am an applying-for-a-job-at-TISC silver medalist.
The guy who I spoke to was really nice about it. He said I presented myself extremely well and did everything perfectly in my interview, but unfortunately another applicant had more relevant experience so they decided to go with him instead. Such a shame. I really wanted that job.
So, back to the newspaper and assorted online job sites for me. Anyone out there going "Hey, my work has a full-time vacancy that I could mention to Tom", please feel free to mention it to me.
