So, a very different Swancon for me this year. I couldn't afford to actually attend this time around, but I got to hang around on the Sunday and Monday doing Swancon 32 stuff.
People seemed to really enjoy our launch video on Sunday night, which I found very gratifying - it's nice to know that people think I'm funny. Well, they think other people reciting things that I wrote/directed are funny, but that's good too :)
Lots of people commented on Tina's cool Swancon shirt design, which was really nice. Those shirts seemed to be selling quite well - I spotted quite a few of them on non-committee folk.
I've decided that I need to put more of a genuine effort into reading lots of books. There's a huge list of things I'd like to read, but I find that unless I make a serious effort, I only end up reading a couple of times a week, which just isn't enough (I'm not a particularly fast reader). So I've been reading lots these last few days and I intend to keep it up throughout the year (a late new year's resolution, I suppose). This newfound determination began with Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse 5, which I finished about two hours ago. It was a really excellent read.
I think I'll move onto Dinner at Deviant's Palace next.
